Plans

In my previous blog, I mentioned the ideas I was considering to compare and contrast two distinct poems. Which I based on my second essay "I Don't Love You Just Need You". In an earlier blog, I had also mentioned my ideas for a first essay topic over a comic novel Stitches. I have recently been assigned to write a third essay over either one of those essays. After considering both my options I decided to write over my second essay "I Don't Love You Just Need You." Not only am I interested in the topic myself, but I believe it would be much easier to find research over it.

So for my third essay, I plan to revise and editing my second one by adding more information over my topic. I will start by correcting any mistakes I had made originally.  For example, grammar, and punctuation, so my essay has a better flow. including my citations and errors with the MLA format.

After fixing those original mistakes I plan to add more information over the fear of love answering questions that a reader might have when reading my essay. Perhaps questions like "what is relationship idealization?" " Why does someone experience a fear of ending a relationship?" "what causes someone to stay in a relationship that is no longer healthy?".

My English professor, Mr. Hamby, suggested searching databases for our research. Although it has not been easy finding many credible sources over this topic I have found very few that might work in my favor. I also plan to use a packet of information that my professor handed out. Maybe find some books in the library to check out if I still need more sources and information.

With more reasearch, I will be able to better explain my thoughts and factuate my claims for my upcomming essay.

Hate Loving You (poems)

After reading various poems from the book 180 more Extraordinary Poems For Every Day . Two poems with similar themes stood out to me. "Please Come Late" by Hugo Williams and Hate poem" by Julie Sheehan share they contradicting of a love-hate relationship. https://media.youqueen.com/2014/12/love-hate-relationship.jpg     The poem "Please Come Late" is about a guy waiting for his ex-girlfriend if I had to take a guess at a coffee shop. They seemed to have gotten in an argument and set up at a date to meet up and try to fix things. He's been waiting long enough to finish drinking two cups of coffee and tries to come up with excuses on why she is could be late "praying you are lost"(8). As much as he would love for her to show up he tends to contradict himself various times. In the beginning, he starts off with "Please come late"(1) and right after also mentions "Please don't come"(5). He then tries to convince ...

Plastic pollution

I plan to revise and edit my second essay to a research paper by adding more information to back up my claims on the negative effects that plastic pollution has on our environment as well as species.  Including how zero waste can have a positive impact in the future. I will compare my experience to other beaches that have been affected by trash in the past. Mainly reference information of Mumbai Juhu beach in India that was hugely polluted by large amounts of plastic. Explaining how they reduce the amount of plastic by not only cleaning up the beach but changing their lifestyle by incorporating recycling trash into their daily routine.
